Restored, 1890, Ascherburg upright piano for sale with a rosewood case and satinwood stringing accents. Piano has turned, faceted legs with satinwood stringing accents. Cabinet features panels inlaid with a Neoclassical design in a variety of woods. The front centre panel features two reclining ladies flanking a central lyre atop an urn surrounded by hibiscus, acanthus, birds, tendrils and torches. One side panel feature inlaid musical instruments and sheet music hanging from a bow. The other an artists palette, brushes and a bust hanging from a bow.
The piano fall features an inlaid design of scrolling hibisus, acanthus, scrolls and shells. Piano features ornate candlesticks and handles. The carved pilaster has a corinthian top with acanthus at the base. Piano has an eighty-five note keyboard and two pedals. |
